the play will take place at
the “stunning “ avanhala’ theatre, which is next to the 'kandyan arts
centre' by the Kandy lake.
The audience will be
guided through the 5 part play by a narrators voice. Act to act will
follow seamlessly with much music and dance. The play will be rein
acted by street, underprivileged and cancer children.
the extravaganza will take the
audience on an evocative sensuous journey through kandy’s colorful
past. excerpts of history and legend, together with much dance and
music, will revive the past in all who see |

music by :thapas; manthara rock:
bbrain child of rahju, one of sri lanka’s most prominent artist’s and
son of kandy. Rahju will end the play with his multifaceted family band.
firework display from the middle of the lake will follow and a
‘dracula night’ [dinner] at helga’s folly to end the evening.
guests are requested to dress up
accordingly!
the festival week will have many
venues. the alliance françoise will sponsor an exhibition for rural
artists. vintage car rally in the streets of kandy for all.
during the week a book fair and
a sari fashion show will take place. All saris designed and made in Sri
Lanka, by our internationally famous designer mr Senaka de Silva, who
is a great visionary, taking his hand made sari which are totlly unique
into exciting, new, exotic, realms. makes impressive statements anywhere
in the world.

to proceed with the festival arrangements, the monies donated will be
forwarded to the respective registered charities inclusive of the
General Hospital in Kandy. if there is a particular charity that you
would like to support please inform us.
